Something Worth Fighting For
This year marks the 250th anniversary of a bold idea changed the world: that people should have the freedom to decide their future.
The world has changed dramatically since 1776, but independence matters more than ever. It matters in our communities, in our businesses, and in the choices we make every day.
Grounded Real Estate is built on that same spirit.
In an industry increasingly-saturated with international corporations, private equity, and one-size-fits-all brands, we’ve chosen a different path. We’re proudly independent not because it’s easier, but because it allows us to stay true to the people and neighborhoods we serve.
For us, being independent means our decisions aren’t made in a boardroom thousands of miles away; they happen right here in Sacramento. It means we can invest in community cleanups instead of corporate campaigns. We can organize treasure hunts, bike builds, school supply drives, pie pickups, and neighborhood events because they matter to us. It means we have the freedom to build a company around our own values.
A quarter-millennium ago, people fought for the right to shape their own future. Today, we’re grateful to carry a small part of that legacy forward by building a business that answers first to its community, not the interests of a corporate parent.
We celebrate the freedom to remain curious, to challenge convention, to stay fiercely local, and to be unapologetically ourselves.
Here’s to 250 years of independence and to keeping that spirit alive, one neighborhood at a time.
