Curtis Park

Why We Love It

Grounded loves Sacramento! And we’ve got a soft spot for Curtis Park. This neighborhood is home to two of our teammates (basically local celebrities) as well as exceptional architecture and  parks.

Where to Eat & Drink

Some of our favorite breakfast and lunch spots include Café Dantorels (home to tasty crepes and sandwiches), Marie’s Donuts, or Buffalo Pizza and Ice Cream. For dinner, grab an artisan pizza and brew at Hop Garden, a burger at Pangea Bier Café, or an elegant New American dish at Taylor’s Kitchen.  Want something sweet? Gunther’s Ice Cream and Freeport Bakery are neighborhood go-to’s for satisfying sugary cravings.

Where to Relax & Play

The mature trees, tennis courts, and decomposed granite track at Curtis Park’s namesake park make it a perfect place to play. In the summer, the park comes alive with free concerts and craft fairs. Fitsom Studio, Asha Yoga, and Studio Laurus offer regular fitness and recovery classes. Or, The Hideaway Bar & Grill provides a fun, tropical- inspired atmosphere for karaoke nights and pool.

Where to Build Community

The Sierra 2 Center in Curtis Park is a key institution for building community. This historic-building-turned-community-center features a Senior Center, restored theater, lifestyle and hobby classes and events for all ages. The Center is also home to the Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association.
