Midtown

Why We Love It

Midtown is lively by night and day! Some of our favorite neighborhood features include its easy river access, great nightlife, and eclectic mix of architecture styles. The neighborhood’s tapestry of Contemporary, Mid-Century, Victorian, and Craftsman buildings means there’s a unique home for nearly any taste. Plus, with its vibrant art, dining, and shopping scene, Midtown really has become its own destination within Sacramento.

Where to Eat & Drink

For lighter bites, try Nekter Juice Bar, Mendocino Sandwich Company, or Make Fish Poke and Sushi Burrito. Popular casual dining options include LowBrau German hall, Mas Taco, and Broderick Road House. Zocalo Mexican, Beast and Bounty, Localis, and The Waterboy offer fresh, upscale dining.  For a unique cocktail experience, you can count on Frank Bar, the Snug, or the Flamingo House. And that’s just the beginning in Midtown!

Ways to Relax & Play

Midtown has a bit of everything in terms of recreation. For some quality time outside, try the Sutter’s Landing river access, Truitt Bark Park, James Marshall Park, or Albert Winn Park.  For some history and culture, Midtown offers the B Street Theater, Sacramento Ballet, Capital Stage, or Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park and State Indian Museum. J & K Streets offer a nightlife great nightlife scene, including the LGBTQ district Lavender Heights.

How to Build Community

Want to get to know your neighbors? The Midtown Neighborhood Association is a great place to start. The weekly Midtown Farmers Market is also a wonderful way to meet community members and local business owners. Or, pick up a cool hobby while meeting new people at the The Painted Cork or HackerLab Maker Space.
